Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how NOOB.WIKI ("NOOB.WIKI", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit noob.wiki and its game subdomains (together, the "Sites"). It applies to all visitors. By using the Sites, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
Effective date: June 28, 2026.
Who We Are
NOOB.WIKI is an independent, fan-made network of wikis and guides for popular games on the Roblox platform. You do not need an account to use the Sites, and we aim to collect as little personal information as possible.
Information We Collect
The information we handle falls into a few categories:
- Information you provide voluntarily — for example, if you email us a question or correction, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
- Usage and device data — collected automatically when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit.
- Approximate location — derived from your IP address (typically at country or region level), used for analytics and to help serve relevant ads.
- Cookies and similar technologies — small files stored on your device; see the Cookies section below.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Sites and their content.
- Understand how visitors use the Sites so we can make them better.
- Display and measure advertising, which helps keep the Sites free to use.
- Respond to your enquiries, corrections, and feedback.
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, abuse, or security incidents.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure traffic, and deliver and personalize advertising. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse cookies. Some parts of the Sites may not work properly without them.
Advertising
The Sites are supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense and may use other advertising partners to display ads. These partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to the Sites and other websites.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick / Google advertising cookie) to serve ads on the Sites.
- These cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to the Sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of other vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices or, for EU users, youronlinechoices.eu.
For more information on how Google uses data when you use our Sites, see "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services".
Analytics
We use analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns, such as which pages are most popular. These tools may collect information such as your IP address and on-site actions. We use this data in aggregate to improve the Sites.
Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: your consent (for example, for non-essential cookies and personalized ads); our legitimate interests in operating, improving, and securing the Sites; and compliance with our legal obligations. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data.
- Objection / restriction — object to or ask us to restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent — where our processing is based on consent.
- Opt out of personalized ads — using the links in the Advertising section above.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no agreed industry standard for responding to DNT signals, the Sites do not currently respond to them. You can still control tracking through the cookie and ad-personalization options described above.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you rights to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some ad-related data sharing may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under California law; you can opt out using the advertising controls above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Aggregated and anonymized data may be kept indefinitely. Email correspondence is retained only as long as needed to handle your request.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, and the Sites are served over HTTPS. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International Data Transfers
The Sites rely on global infrastructure (including content delivery networks and third-party services), so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Third-Party Links
The Sites contain links to third-party websites and services we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
Children's Privacy
The Sites are general-audience fan guides and are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above, and significant changes may be highlighted on the Sites. Your continued use of the Sites after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
